Pinocchios and Humpty Dumptys
How about, that Kid Rock ??? Marketing his “Made in Detroit” t-shirts that were not made in Detroit. With his credibility then challenged, the Kid (a “dyed in the wool” supporter of our “Transactional”… Pinocchio President) tells us that everyone knows his “Made in Detroit” t-shirts were not made in Detroit. Well, of course they do !!! I guess ???
And, how about Venezuela’s Opposition leader, Maria Corina Machado’s “transactional” strategy ??? Machado recently received the Nobel Peace Prize for being quote “a woman who keeps the flame of Democracy burning amid a growing darkness” end quote. Then she punctuates the darkness with more darkness… by giving her Nobel Peace Prize to an “ever-flattered” President Pinocchio, the Prince of Darkness.
Now, an “ever-hopeful” Maria Corina Machado is left to hope her “transactional” flattery works and that President Pinocchio dumps his first choice to lead Venezuela (Vice President Delcy Rodriguez), and, instead, rewards Machado’s flattery and installs her feisty self (a compliment) as President of Venezuela. Stay tuned to the Pinocchio, Brother Love’s, Traveling, Flattery Show !!! Wake up the babies and grab the old ladies cuz everyone goes …to Brother Love’s Show (Neil Diamond).
For America’s Founding Fathers, “idealism and “human rights” were everything. For the Greatest Generation and their children, “Integrity” and “character” were everything. But now, in the 21stCentury, it appears America’s strength is wasted on an upside-down world of “transactional-ism” where idealism, integrity, character and human rights are dinosaurs from the long-gone, Jurassic Age. Today, for Pinocchio and Friends, the “transactional” art of the deal is the “go-to” strategy. Don’t be a team player. Just get whatever you want (wealth, influence and raw power) from whomever you want by being the Biggest Bully on the block.
So it goes on and on and on, on that transactional loop… as President Pinocchio …
- Reverses the very direction of the axis, that American turns on.
- Reverses the predictability, reliability and constancy of America’s North Star.
- Reverses the admirable concepts of idealism, integrity, character and human rights that the Founding Fathers and the Greatest Generation fought and died for.
- Reverses and “refers for punitive investigation” the human rights and privileges of that one half of America that would not vote for Pinocchio.
- Reverses the respect and admiration previously accorded our 250-year-old, “Shining City upon the Hill” (John Winthrop… oft repeated by President Reagan)
That’s a lot of reversals during the reign of Pinocchio. Hopefully not the beginning of the end of America’s 250-year experiment in Democracy. Good, it ain’t !!! Scary (and depressing) It is !!! After all those reversals, what is America left with ??? Transactional Values ??? (an Oxymoron). Or, as me Irish relatives were wont to say.., “God save us all.”
Now, one last “reversal.” Perhaps, the Coup de Grâce for American Democracy. Pinocchio now fully denies that there are any limits to his own Presidential power… telling the New York Times on 1/11/2026 that the only thing that limits his power (listen to this !!!),
“My own morality. My own Mind.
It’s the only thing that can stop me,
and that’s very good.”
Bottom line ??? Pinocchio has now dealt out of the loop of American power … both the Congress and the Courts and, with them, all democratic checks and balances on his power. In so doing, Pinocchio has now merged his Pinocchio, character deficits with his Humpty Dumpty, character deficits by telling America, “When I use a word… the word means just what I choose it to mean—neither more nor less.’’ Pinocchio aka Humpty Dumpty is now talking to Alice in Wonderland in 2026 …Through the Looking-Glass (Lewis Carroll).
President Zelensky, you better cut whatever deal you can with Russia because the ever-transactional, Pinocchio/Humpty Dumpty will, eventually, reward his buddy, the ever-transactional, Vladimir Putin… for his (Through the Looking-Glass) self-defense invasion of the Ukraine.
Ah, the good old 21st Century of America today where Truth has been mortally wounded by the transactional approach… 1 plus I equals ??? Well. What do you want it to equal ???
