I hate to bother you, but as both a writer and 43-year Trial Lawyer… “seeming” and/or “real” contradictions just jump out at me (See your article of Wednesday 7/22/2026 in the Detroit News, State’s cyclosporiasis cases top 6,500).

5th last and 4th last para
FDA says Taylor Farms voluntarily recalling Mexican lettuce (despite just a “false positive” test).

3rd last para
Taylor Fresh Food (no explanation differentiating Taylor Farms from Taylor Fresh Food) said it “voluntarily”… “completed” a recall of “all iceberg lettuce grown in Central Mexico that was identified as the potential source….”

2nd last para
“The company [either Taylor Farms or Taylor Fresh Foods, I guess] also said no Taylor Farms branded products are involved in the recall.”

What ???
I’m lost. Taylor Farms and Taylor Fresh Foods both “recalled” product. So how do you reverse that and conclude thereafter (as you then write) “no Taylor Farms branded products are involved in the recall.” You could have eliminated this seeming, apparent or actual contradiction with a little more care and/or explanation or with a little help from a Detroit New’s Editor.

In the area of sickness from cyclosporiasis (something all of us are trying mightily to avoid), we need clarity from our newspapers, not confusion and not a job of working hard to try and figure out what you are saying about our health and safety.
